I graduated from the University Hospital of Wales College of Medicine in 1989 and undertook my junior doctor training in South Wales gaining experience in General Surgery, Neurosurgery and ENT. I gained a place on the ENT/Head and Neck Specialist Training Programme in Wales in 1997, completing my training in 2003. During this time I undertook a postgraduate degree in rhinological research gaining a Master of Philosophy for research into nasal obstruction. I was also awarded the TWJ fellowship enabling me to study and train at Havard University and the Massachusetts Eye and Ear hospital.

I have practised as a Consultant in ENT and Head and Neck Surgery since 2004 at the University Hospital of Wales and since 2005 at Spire Hospital. Since then my practice has involved general ENT as well as subspecialising in Otology, implant surgery and Paediatric Otolaryngology.

I am currently the Clinical Director for ENT at University Hospital of Wales and am also the clinical lead for clinical governance and audit.
