Background Information

Professional profile:

I trained in London, Cambridge and Sheffield before undertaking an otology research post in Michigan, USA. I have been a consultant ENT surgeon at the University Hospital of Wales Cardiff since 1990. During this time I have enjoyed undertaking a wide variety of ENT surgery including endoscopic sinus surgery, skull base surgery, advanced head and neck cancer surgery, and voice rehabilitation.

I have been chairman of the all Wales advisory group for head and neck cancer services (CSCG) and I am currently the Royal College Regional Advisor for ENT.

Personal profile:

I am happily married with 3 children, two of them now grownup and fled the nest. My hobbies include watching lots of sport, playing tennis, music, and doing as much foreign travel as possible.
