    Background Information 
    Professional profile:
    I was a consultant plastic surgeon at the Charing Cross Hospital for 23 years. My main areas of interest were reconstruction after head and neck cancer, breast cancer and hand surgery.
    I then became concerned about the training of junior surgeons in cosmetic surgery and developed the institute of Cosmetic and Reconstructive Surgery in West London together with my colleagues at the Charing Cross Hospital. As a result I have lectured widely on cosmetic surgery both in the United Kingdom, in Europe, North America and the Middle East and my specialist areas of interest are rejuvenation of the face including facelifts and eyelid surgery, operations of the nose and breasts. Over the years we have introduced techniques for such surgery using less and less scars.
    Personal profile:
    I was born in Cardigan, West Wales where we have recently built a house and are spending an increasing amount of time there. I have three children, two of whom are doctors and the third a teacher.
    Outside of my family my interests include playing golf, skiing and enjoying my grandchildren.
