Background Information

Professional profile:

I completed my undergraduate medical training at the University of Newcastle-Upon-Tyne.

I trained in Cardiology in Cardiff (Registrar and BHF Research Fellow), Freiburg, Germany (Alexander von Humboldt Scholar) and at the Royal Brompton and National Heart Hospital (Senior Registrar).

I was appointed Consultant Cardiologist at the University Hospital of Wales in 1996 and Clinical Director of Cardiac Services in 2002.

I am pleased to offer a 'one-stop' clinical assessment that incorporates clinical consultation and non-invasive cardiac investigations (echocardiography, exercise stress testing, ambulatory ECG and BP) at the same visit.

Personal profile:

Much of my leisure time is spent with my family but now that our children are in their teens this allows us to indulge our shared interests in sport, music and travelling.
