I carried out my initial medical training at University College Hospital London. My senior house officer training was initially in London and in the Yorkshire region. I obtained my London MD in the genetics of coronary artery disease with research interests in inflammation, infection and coronary artery disease.

My general cardiology training was in the Yorkshire region. I spent a year in Canada as the International Fellow in the University of Alberta, Canada. After a year as a locum consultant in Leeds and Wakefield, I took up my current post at the University Hospital of Wales as a Consultant Interventional Cardiologist. As part of my private practice at Spire Cardiff I undertake a  Erectile Dysfunction Clinic on a weekly basis.

My hobbies include football, squash, badminton, table tennis, skiing and walking. I play the piano and guitar, and also compose music. I also have an interest in philosophy and theology.
