Spire Cardiff Hospital is delighted to announce a new ‘one-stop headache service’. This service will run as a one-stop consultant-delivered Headache Clinic, which we hope to establish as a regular fortnightly service.
Headache is a very common neurological symptom. Up to 95% of the population suffer with intermittent headaches with up to 1 in 5 suffering regular headache symptoms that may interfere with their lives. Approximately 25% of patients attending private neurology clinics do so for a headache disorder and many patients go on to have brain imaging in the form of MRI scans
Headache is a common and often debilitating condition. As well as migraine, there are other forms of episodic headache or chronic daily headache that may respond to different treatments, both for attacks and for symptom preventions.
