Professional Profile
I provide a specialist orthopaedic service dealing with hip problems and knee problems. This includes arthroscopy (keyhole operations), hip and knee joint replacement surgery, and revision surgery for failed replacements. I also provide a leg deformity correction and reconstruction service.
I acquired orthopaedic specialist training from Leeds and completed one year clinical fellowship in hip and knee replacements from the Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston and the Harvard Medical School.
I have been actively involved in teaching and research throughout my career and have published over 20 research papers, in addition to book chapters in leading reference books and review articles. I am the editor and chief author of a specialist text book on orthopaedics. I organise clinical courses where joint replacement surgery is taught to trainee doctors.
