  Mr Maheson provides a specialist orthopaedic service with a particular interest in primary hip and knee replacement surgery together with revisions.
  
  His NHS practice is based at the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff and provides not only a local service but also a tertiary referral service for Wales and the West of England. He has an active interest in orthopaedic research and teaching on a national and international level.
  
  Mr Maheson has completed specialty fellowships in Dallas, Texas, USA. Toronto, Canada. Nuremburg and Hamburg, Germany.
