Professional Profile
I qualified from Charing Cross Hospital Medical School in 1981. I trained in Orthopaedic Surgery at the Royal Free Hospital and Sheffield, before receiving Fellowship training in Auckland, New Zealand under Prof Harley Gray.
I have been a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at the Cardiff & Vale NHS Trust since 1993 and have been the Clinical Director of the unit for 6 of the last 9 years.
In addition to a general trauma practice I manage specialist children’s trauma, and complex foot and ankle injuries.
My adult elective practice is based in foot and ankle surgery, with a high proportion of consultations being referrals from other orthopaedic consultants. In addition, I am one of three Children’s Orthopaedic Surgeons’ in Cardiff managing talipes (club foot), lower limb reconstruction and neuromuscular conditions.
I have a clinic at Spire Cardiff Hospital, on Monday afternoons, Wednesday mornings, and operate on Monday mornings.
