I am a consultant in Paediatric Cardiology and Neonatology at Cambridge University Hospitals since April 2013. I am a honorary consultant at Great Ormond Street Hospital, London. I am a consultant paediatrician special Expertise in Cardiology and I have over 18 years of clinical experience in paediatrics. I am passionate about delivering high quality patient care, especially to children with congenital heart defects (CHDs) and I have special interest in diagnostic echocardiography for CHDs.
I run "one stop clinics" for children with heart murmurs and suspected CHDs, where I provide consultation, perform echocardiogram and explain the results / diagnosis to the child and parents on the same day.
I provide long term follow up for children diagnosed with congenital heart defects.
I provide consultation for children with chest pain, palpitations, dizziness and fainting (syncope), and organise investigations as required including echocardiogram and 12 lead ECG.
I provide consultation for children with family history of congenital heart defects and cardiomyopathy, and perform screening echocardiogram and 12 lead ECG.
I perform over 1,000 paediatric echocardiogram each year, which gives me wealth of experience in providing high quality care to children with CHDs.
Currently I am lead for Paediatric Critical Care Division Lead for Quality Improvement and Clinical Audit at Cambridge University Hospitals.
I am educational, academic and research lead for the PECSIG, and also lead for the accreditation and training at NICHe group UK.
In addition to my clinical work, I am passionate about teaching and training. I am proud to be an honorary lecturer at University of Cambridge.
