I am a general surgeon with a sub-specialty interest in upper gastrointestinal surgery and laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery. I perform laparoscopic surgery for gallstones (cholecystectomy)and all type of hernias. I am also a JAG (Joint Advisory Group on Endoscopy) certified upper gastrointestinal endoscopist. I also offer surgery for “lumps and bumps”.
I trained in the North East. During my two year research project (MD), I investigated the effect of immunonutrition on infective complications after major upper gastrointestinal surgery.
