I have a highly specialised practice that consists of liver, pancreas and biliary surgery for malignant and benign diseases and organ transplantation.
Laparoscopic cholecystectomy (key-hole removal of gall bladder) and gallstone-related biliary and liver surgery is one of my special interests. This includes management of complications of gallstones such as infections, jaundice and pancreatitis. I train doctors and lecture on this subject and also lead the day-case laparoscopic cholecystectomy service within HPB Unit at Addenbrooke’s Hospital.
My general surgical work includes mesh repair of hernias of groin (inguinal, femoral) and abdominal wall (umbilical and incisional) and “lumps and bumps”.
