I qualified as doctor in 1995.
I trained in the UK in Paediatrics with my junior training mainly in Bristol and Sheffield.
I trained for 5 years at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford in Paediatrics, working as a Paediatric registrar in General Paediatrics, Neonatology and Intensive care
Whilst at Oxford I developed my special interest in Endocrinology and Diabetes.
Subsequently I have worked for 6 years as a Consultant in Paediatrics with a special interest in Diabetes and Endocrinology (Clinical Lead) at Hinchingbrooke Hospital.
I also conduct joint Endocrine clinics with Consultants from Addenbrookes Hospital.
I see children with all aspects of General Paediatric problems as well as looking after children with Growth problems, Thyroid problems and pubertal disorders.
I am keen on Teaching and I am an examiner for the final examinations at the University of Cambridge as well as being an examiner to the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health.
I am a committee member for the national body on Diabetes policy – Association of Childrens Diabetes Clinicians.
Currently I am reading for an MSc in Healthcare Leadership
