About Mr Michael Irwin

Mr Irwin offers a comprehensive repertoire of plastic surgery and cosmetic procedures to those seeking to improve/alter their appearance. In keeping with good clinical practice, he prefers to consult with all new patients at least twice; the second time at no extra charge. This allows time to think things over thoroughly and read the information leaflets given to you before proceeding with surgery.

Mr Irwin is a consultant plastic surgeon at Spire Cambridge Lea Hospital and Addenbrooke's Hospital. He is also part of the multi-disciplinary team at the Cambridge Breast Unit. He studied at St Thomas' Hospital Medical School and has been privileged to train in busy regional plastic surgery units in Chepstow, East Grinstead and London's Charing Cross Hospital.

He acquired additional expertise in breast reconstruction and plastic surgery of the breast in Atlanta, Georgia; in breast reconstruction at the Royal Marsden Hospital, London and in aesthetic (cosmetic) surgery at the Wellington Hospital, London. A period of full time research culminated in him being awarded the Hunterian Professorship by the Royal College of Surgeons of England.

Whilst enjoying all aspects of plastic surgery he has a personal interest in breast reconstruction and congenital and aesthetic. For further information click here
