Mr Rodney Laing
With Mr Laing, you will receive the highest quality specialist care – from the first moment you are in touch with Mr Laing’s team, through to your consultation with him, the completion of your treatment and aftercare.
Mr Laing was appointed as a Consultant Neurosurgeon, with an interest in spinal neurosurgery, at Addenbrookes Hospital in 1995. His practice includes both complex spinal neurosurgery and minimally invasive (keyhole) surgery, which is usually performed as a day case. Mr Laing specialises in the treatment of degenerative disease, trauma, tumours and syringomyelia.
Practising at Spire Cambridge Lea Hospital and Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Mr Laing offers a patient-centred service, allocating at least 30 minutes to new patients having their first consultation in clinic. He helps each patient understand how their symptoms are caused and what role surgical intervention might have in improving their quality of life so that decision-making can be shared.
