Mr Skinner is paid for half a day per month to be Spire Bushey Hospital’s orthopaedic adviser on matters relating to the lower limb. Duties include advising the hospital on issues relating to clinical governance, risk and best practice in relation to orthopaedic services, new prostheses and reviewing the use of prostheses.

Mr Skinner qualified in Medicine from Kings College Hospital, London in 1988. He then undertook further Fellowship training in the US. Mr Skinner is a consultant at The Royal National Orthopaedic Centre, also chairing their Infection Control Committee. He is also involved with training junior surgeons at the Royal College of Surgeons.
