Spire Healthcare, which includes Spire Bushey Hospital is a part, was named Hospital Group of the Year for the second year running at the 2015 HealthInvestor Awards on June 10. Lisa Trybus, Hospital Director of Spire Bushey, was delighted at the news “This award plays tribute to the incredible dedication of all our team at Spire Bushey to deliver amazing patient care. We are so thrilled to have received this award for the second year running.”
This prestigious event, run by trade publication, HealthInvestor, is one of the main highlights in the health sector calendar and is always very well attended by many important bodies. The 2015 competition was fierce with award submissions up by 20% on last year, but despite this, Spire still pipped six other organisations to the top spot.
“2014 was a transformational year for Spire Healthcare and a landmark in the company’s history”, says Rob Roger, Chief Executive.
“As well as listing on the London Stock Exchange in one of the most successful IPOs (floatations) of the year, 2014 saw Spire deliver a strong year in both trading and development, whilst progressing its mission to bring together the best people, dedicated to developing excellent clinical environments and delivering the highest quality patient care. I am very proud to be leading the people who make Spire so successful”.
Journalist and news presenter, Jeremy Vine, presented the awards, which were judged by a panel of independent judges.
