Spire Bushey Hospital will be taking part in its first Google+ Hangout on Friday 23 August at 3pm as AXA PPP Healthcare speak to Perform London Clinical Lead Physiotherpist Herbert Trabanino on hip and knee surgery.
AXA PPP Healthcare is inviting members and non-members to join its very first live video chat to offer a more interactive and personal approach to healthcare questions. Only a maximum of 9 people can join in and participants will be selected from AXA PPP's Google+ circles over the next couple of weeks. The Hangout will also be live streamed so it can still be watched by those who aren't selected to join in.
Herbert will discuss what a hip or knee operation will do, what to expect after the operation and what to expect in the first few days, weeks and months. He’ll also share his top tips for getting fit for an operation. Herbert will talk through a brief anatomy of the knee and show some stretching exercises for knee pain, demonstrating some simple tests that can be done at home, what they mean and the potential diagnosis.
Australian-born Herbert is one of two clinical lead physiotherapists for Perform London at Spire Bushey Hospital and he has held the position since 2009. He is a lower limb specialist and is currently studying a master's degree in neuromusculoskeletal physiotherapy at the University of Hertfordshire.
