Mr Pratik Sufi is the lead surgeon of the Bariatric and Benign Upper GI Service at the Whittington Hospital (NHS) and Spire Bushey Hospital
Mr Sufi specialises in the surgical treatment of morbid obesity, diabetes, gastro-oesophageal reflux disease, hiatus hernia, oesophageal dysmotility and strictures. He is an expert endoscopist, laparoscopic and general surgeon with wide experience in treating various conditions like gallstones, hernia, acute appendicitis, perforated peptic ulcers, intra-abdominal adhesions etc using minimally invasive techniques (keyhole surgery).
At Spire Bushey Hospital, Mr Sufi offers weight loss patients a range of procedures such as gastric balloon, gastric band, sleeve gastrectomy, gastric bypass and the incisionless weight loss procedure - POSE.
