Nilesh Sojitra trained extensively in plastic and reconstructive surgery having undertaken his training in Plastic Surgery both in the UK (London) and internationally. At University College London he pursued research into nerve injuries and scarring which led to the award of a masters degree. Mr Sojitra is entered into the GMC specialist register for Plastic Surgery. He is also a full member of the British Association of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons (BAPRAS) and the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS). He is currently a Consultant Plastic Surgeon at the Royal Free, University College London, Mount Vernon and Luton and Dunstable hospitals.
Mr Sojitra has published comprehensively within the plastic surgery literature throughout his career and regularly presents his work internationally at plastic surgery conferences. He is actively involved in training young surgeons. He has also been involved with media through ITV and Channel 4 documentaries.
Mr Sojitra's broad training and international fellowships in Breast Reconstruction have enabled him to develop special interests within the broad field of plastic surgery - his specialist interests in cosmetic surgery include: breast, facial and body contouring as well as a strong interest in breast reconstruction after cancer.
