Over the last 20 years, my surgical practice has benefited from working in three different surgical schools in the UK, Germany and Egypt. This has enabled me to integrate various techniques in the development of my own practice.
Vascular Surgery (Elective and Emergency)
Peripheral Occlusive Arterial Disease: I have gained wide experience in peripheral arterial reconstruction, especially in diabetic patients. This experience encompasses 300 reconstructions including over 100 femoro-distal bypasses. This has evolved from regular participation in joint vascular and diabetic ward rounds and multidisciplinary meetings.
Endovascular Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm {AAA} Repair (EVAR): I have been involved in over 150 cases of endovascular AAA repair. I perform the pre-operative planning of procedures through both multidisciplinary meetings and personal initiative.
Vascular Access for Haemodialysis: I have wide experience in construction of various arteriovenous fistulae, gained from over 200 procedures.
Carotid Surgery: I perform Carotid Surgery both under local and general anaesthesia and selectively shunt patients depending on clinical neurological assessment.
Open Repair of Aortoiliac Aneurysm and Occlusive Disease: I have been involved in over 250 elective and emergency abdominal aortic reconstructions including performing over 100 procedures.
Varicose Veins: This includes redo open surgery and endovenous procedures.
