Mr Aman Coonar qualified from Guy's & St Thomas' Medical school in London. He trained first in internal medicine and intensive care, followed by basic science research. This was followed by general surgery and cardiothoracic surgery training at Guy's & St Thomas', Kings, Royal Brompton and the London Chest Hospitals.
In 2005-2007 Mr Coonar took senior fellowships at the Toronto General Hospital in Canada in general thoracic surgery and lung transplant surgery.
Mr Coonar's surgery base is at Papworth Hospital. He sees in and out-patients at Spire Bushey Hospital. Due to the specialised nature of thoracic surgery he undertakes most surgery at Papworth Hospital which is about one hour from Spire Bushey. There are excellent transport links to Papworth with on-site parking.
