Dr Tang originally qualified at the University of Edinburgh. He undertook broad Gastroenterology and Hepatology Specialist training in London at Guys & St Thomas's Hospital with Sir Richard Thompson, University College Hospital, and at the Liver Unit, King's College Hospital.
He further underwent subspecialty training in advanced endoscopy as Assistant Professor at the Chinese University of Hong Kong (1998 - 1999), and spent a period of extended research at the Institute of Hepatology, University College London (2000 - 2003) in Hepatitis/Liver disease, with national and international presentations and publications in viral hepatitis.
He is an accredited specialist with a large NHS and private practice devoted to the full range of gastroenterology including IBS, IBD, hepatology, pancreatobiliary disease, diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy.
