A clinical research post in sickle cell disease at Central Middlesex, London was followed by senior registrar and lecturer posts at Chelsea and Westminster and Charing Cross Hospital before obtaining her CCST in Haematology.
When not busy with her two children Dr Wood enjoys keeping fit and is a keen and regular runner, having completed the 2009 London marathon for the Starlight children's charity.
