Spire Bushey Hospital is delighted to offer a twice-weekly CT mobile service.
The Toshiba sixteen-slice Aquillion system will now come to the hospital every Wednesday and Saturday to perform scans for referred patients. The benefits of the multislice system are:
- Scanning eight times faster than conventional or spiral CT scanning which allows faster examination times for patients.
-CT scans for coronary calcification.
- Increased image resolution – enabling detection of smaller anomalies and increased accuracy of diagnosis.
- Improved patient comfort – the system is designed for patient comfort with a wide 72cm flared gantry and a couchtop width of 47cm. A two-way intercom provides communication with the patient at all times. The mobile housing provides a spacious environment with room for wheelchairs and trolleys as required.
For further information on the weekly CT service, please contact Kerry O'Donnell, radiology manager, on 020 8901 5566.
