I qualified in London and gained general medical experience working in and around London. During my cardiology training I worked in Perth, Western Australia and at the University Hospital, Vancouver, Canada where I received sub-speciality training in cardiac arrhythmia management with a particular emphasis on radiofrequency ablation procedures.
I was a senior registrar in cardiology in Bristol until 2000 and subsequently took up the post of consultant cardiologist at Frenchay Hospital, Bristol.
My cardiology experience has been broad based covering all areas of clinical cardiology. My particular areas of expertise include diagnostic cardiac catheterisation, balloon coronary angioplasty and stenting and catheter ablation procedures for the treatment of cardiac arrhythmias, the majority of which are supra ventricular tachycardias.
