Dr Binedell qualified as a Clinical Psychologist from the University of Wales in 2000 and has 10 years' experience of working in the NHS. Her clinical work has involved the assessment and treatment of complex emotional and mental health issues. She has taught and supervised trainee clinical psychologists and other health professionals and has conducted psychological research in a number of settings both in the UK and abroad. For the past three years, Dr Binedell has worked as an independent practitioner in a primary care setting with adults of all ages.
Dr Binedell is committed to providing clients with effective psychological treatment, delivered in a caring and professional way. She strives to form good working relationships with clients based on respect and trust. As a member of the British Psychological Society, she upholds their professional and ethical values of respect, competence, responsibility and integrity. She tends to work using a cognitive behavioural approach and is interested in the third-wave cognitive therapies, including mindfulness, acceptance and commitment therapy and compassion-focused therapy.
