How to refer your patient

Insured patients

  • Your patient will need a referral letter from you and this should be faxed to our bookings team on 0117 980 4055 – Medical secretaries will usually do this for you. They can also use our GP Connect electronic referral system if they prefer.
  • The patient must ring their insurer and gain authorisation.
  • The patient can then ring our bookings team on 0117 980 4070 to make an appointment they must have their policy details when they ring. Alternatively, when our bookings team receive the faxed referral letter they will send an appointment to the patient.

Self-pay patients

  • Fax the referral letter to our bookings team on 0117 980 4055 as above.
  • Your patient can either ring our bookings team on 0117 980 4070 to make their appointment, alternatively our bookings team will send them an appointment when the referral is received.
  • For information about prices your patient can ring our Private Treatment Advisor on 0117 980 4080.

You can either name the consultant you would like your patient to see or you can just state the speciality i.e. ENT, Urology, Dermatology etc. We will then allocate the first available appointment.

Patients can usually be seen within 7 days and any treatment can usually take place in 2-3 weeks.

Diagnostic Imaging

  • MRI, Ultrasound, CT Scan including Cardiac CT, X-ray, Mammography, DEXA, PET/CT
  • Referrals should be faxed to 0117 923 8223
  • On receipt of the referral letter an appointment will be made and your patient advised.
  • Appointments are usually within 24 hours of a referral and reports sent back to you in 2-3 days.
