Professional profile:
I had a broad based training in neurosurgery at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, Queen Square, London and have continued to provide a comprehensive service since being appointed as a a consultant at Frenchay Hospital in 1993.

I have pioneered the use of cervical disc replacements, which, by maintaining neck mobility should prevent accelerated degeneration of adjacent discs that may otherwise occur following a fusion.

I have developed new techniques in minimally invasive surgery of the lumbar and cervical spines that have been presented in peer review journals, in the internal press and on television.
