Professional profile:
After qualifying from Bristol University Medical School in 1986, I trained at centres of excellence in London, Oxford and Birmingham. I returned to Bristol in 1999, taking up a Consultant post in Gastroenterology at Southmead Hospital.

In 2006 I moved to a new Consultant position at the Bristol Royal Infirmary. My main clinical interests are in general gastroenterology, inflammatory bowel disease, nutrition, and endoscopy of the upper GI tract and colon. I work closely with expert GI pathologists, radiologists and surgeons to provide high quality multidisciplinary care
Personal profile:
I am married with two young children and enjoy a variety of sports including tennis, skiing and flyfishing
