    Professional profile:
    I am an accredited paediatrician having trained in London and the Southwest. Subsequent to this I received further training in rheumatology and in 2000 was appointed as consultant in paediatric rheumatology . This service is at the Bristol Royal Hospital for Children. Within this area I assess and treat children (0-18ys) with musculoskeletal conditions.

    My workload is equally divided between non-inflammatory pains (joints, back, sporting injury, hypermobility etc) and disease related (juvenile arthritis, infection, connective tissue etc).

    Over the past 6 yrs I have developed a special interest in chronic musculoskeletal pain and am clinical director of the national adolescent pain management unit in the Royal National Hospital for Rheumatic Diseases in Bath.
    Personal profile:
    Like many working mums (I have 3 children 11, 10 and 9 months) most of my time outside work is centred on family life. I have a keen interest in all sports, particularly squash, hockey and running. As a family we love walking, camping and getting out on the water. We can also be spotted at folk festivals in the summer!
