I trained at Guy's Hospital Medical School, University of London and spent a postgraduate year at Keble College, Oxford. My post-MRCP dermatology training was at Guy's, the St John's Institute of Dermatology, London and the Oregon Health Sciences University, Portland, USA. I was appointed as consultant in Bristol in 1989 and at the St John's institute of Dermatology, London in 2010.
