Spire Bristol Hospital welcomes new Pharmacy Manager

August 31 2011

I’m very pleased to tell you that Alberto Ratasi Sanchez has been appointed our new pharmacy manager here at Spire Bristol Hospital, the South West’s largest independent hospital.

Mr Ratasi Sanchez, who hails from Seville, qualified as a pharmacist in Spain in 2003 before moving to the UK to work in community pharmacy in Bristol.

After three years he went into hospital pharmacy, first at the Bristol Royal Infirmary and then the Gwent Hospital in Newport, followed by his previous role, at Salisbury District Hospital.

The pharmacist’s role is absolutely central to patient care as medication needs can change very suddenly, and Ratasi will play a vital role in making sure the pharmacy team has a visible presence on the wards here.
