I’m delighted to say that Bristol spinal surgeon John Hutchinson, who has a successful practice here at Spire Bristol Hospital, has been named in a list of experts to whom fellow UK surgeons would refer their nearest and dearest.
This accolade came after the Daily Mail surveyed 40 of the UK’s leading surgeons about who they would pick to operate on their closest friends and family, with Mr Hutchinson’s name coming in the top 10.
You can read the full story here, where the surgeons who were surveyed sum up Mr Hutchinson by saying: “This is a superb, caring surgeon who can do the full range of operations. Not the type of doctor to offer one or two procedures to everyone because that’s all he has his arsenal – he will weigh the risk benefit ratio very carefully and only operate if he’s sure the patient will benefit.”
