Mr Shariff was an undergraduate at Imperial College Medical School and then a junior surgical trainee in Oxford. He completed higher surgical training in orthopaedics in the North West Thames training programme based at Imperial College. He has undertaken fellowship training in foot and ankle surgery at The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore, Clinique de L'Union in Toulouse and at Wexham Park Hospital.
His current practice is exclusively foot and ankle surgery and he has a special interest in arthroscopic surgery of the ankle, sports injuries, rheumatoid arthritis and trauma surgery.
Mr Shariff has an interest in clinical research and audit. He has widely published and presented at various national and international meetings. He is regularly involved in teaching and training junior doctors in orthopaedics and has been a faculty member on training courses.
