Dr Chan is a Neurologist at Maidstone Hospital and King’s College hospitals. In addition to his expertise in general neurology (Headache, Epilepsy, MS, Parkinson’s), he specialises in Cognitive Disorders.
He established the Cognitive Neurology Service in Kent providing a state-of-the-art diagnostic service for people with Young Onset Dementia and atypical dementia. He belongs to the Kent Young-Onset Dementia Network and collaborates closely with Alzheimer’s Society.
Dr Chan graduated in London, completed a sub-internship at the Mayo Clinic, trained at the National Hospital for Neurology and was awarded distinction for his MSc in Cognitive Neuropsychology at UCL, exploring neural mechanisms underlying memory and emotion. His current research interests include Young Onset Dementia and Parkinson’s disease.
