Mr Shetty's surgical training was at Guy's & Thomas' Hospital, London and King's College Hospital, London. Mr Shetty completed his knee fellowship training in America and has recently been appointed as senior lecturer at Kings College Hospital, London where he teaches both undergraduates and post graduate students.
His main interest lies in cartiliage repair and cartiliage transplant surgery, ligament reconstruction and patella-femoral disorders. Mr Shetty also performs knee replacements using computer navigation assisted surgery with a minimally invasive approach where appropriate and undertakes complex revision knee surgery.
Last year Mr Shetty appeared on BBC TV Hospital heroes documentary, he was also awarded the Silver medal in recognition of his teaching and research commitments
