Mr Jain is a leading orthopaedic and knee surgeon in Kent, based at Medway Maritime Hospital and Spire Alexandra Hospital.
He specialises in and has popularised the groundbreaking computer guided knee replacement surgery, which provides a highly accurate placement of components. His other special interests include arthroscopic (key-hole) surgery of the knee joint including ligament (ACL) reconstruction, cartilage regeneration and meniscus repair surgery, various types of hip and knee replacements (partial/total) and sports injuries of the lower limb. He believes in less invasive surgery for the hip and knee joints followed by early mobilisation and rehabilitation, to restore function with minimal pain.
He has continued to publish and present his research at national and international levels, and holds a Clinical Excellence award. He is an examiner for MSc Orthopaedic trainees, and a reviewer for research with NHS-HTA (Health Technology Assessment).
Mr Jain featured on the BBC news highlighting computer guided knee replacement surgery. He also featured as a prominent knee surgeon in 'At Home' published in conjunction with Dr Hilary Jones.
