Mr Borowsky was born in South Africa and trained at the University of Witwatersand, Johannesburg. He spent two years in the military in orthopaedics and a further two years as head of an orthopaedic unit at Hillbrow hospital.

Mr Borowsky furthered his training with a year's consultancy post in New Zealand and 5 years at Milpark level 1 trauma centre. His current post is at Medway Maritime Hospital.
