Spire Healthcare has ranked second in the Sunday Times Top Track 250 Awards, marking it as Britain’s best performing mid-market private health company, and the second most successful mid-market private company overall.
The Top Track 250 is the Sunday Times annual league table of Britain’s biggest mid-market private companies. With exceptional sales of £546.1m, Spire leaped to second place, behind Wilmott Dixon, up from 16th in 2008.
Chief Financial Officer Rob Roger says: “We’re absolutely delighted to receive this award. Spire Healthcare has been working hard to provide the best and most competitive service in the private healthcare industry and the company is growing year-on-year. Our impressive sales results speak for themselves.”
Spire Healthcare’s recently published interim results (1 January – 30 June 2009) show like-for-like revenues were up 6% on the prior year and the company is trading in line with expectations. Growth is being supported by a significant development pipeline and improved margins from operational efficiency.
The full Sunday Times Top Track league table was published yesterday as a broadsheet colour supplement folded inside the Business section, and can also be seen online: http://www.fasttrack.co.uk/fasttrack2002/bin/2009-TopTrack250.pdf.
