Consultant orthopaedic surgeon, Robert Jones & Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital, Oswestry
I graduated from St John's Medical College, Bangalore, India in 1992, following which my basic surgical training was in Cardiff and Newport, South Wales. After completing the FRCS in general surgery I was selected for the All Wales Orthopaedic programme, following which my orthopaedic training was based in and around Oswestry during which time I also completed the Masters in Orthopaedic Engineering from the Cardiff University. I developed an interest in knee and hip arthroplasty during my time at Oswestry. I then spent a year completing a fellowship at Wrightington hospital in hip and knee arthroplasty. I did a further AO fellowship at Toronto and spent further time visiting centres in Toronto, Ontario and Vancouver in Canada. My research interests are mainly in the field of developing surgical jigs and reproducible surgical techniques for hip and knee arthroplasty.
I am a keen follower of motor sports and ride a motorcycle. I am married with 2 children. I enjoy playing sports time permitting.
