Basic medical qualifications (MBBS) obtained in 1984 and registered medical practitioner in 1987. Broad based training in Obs & Gynae in India in University Hospitals. Trained in the UK since 1994 in big DGHs and Liverpool Women's Hospital. Achieved CCST from Mersey Deanery in 2000. Consultant appointment since June 2001, initially at Ysbyty Gwynedd, Bangor & currently at Wrexham Maelor. Special Interests are in foetal ultrasound including antenatal screening, management of menstrual disorders and genital prolapse, and minimal access surgery.
Married. Wife is a Gynaecologist and Obstetrician at the Wrexham Maelor Hospital. Keen on physical fitness, playing squash and cricket. Run for pleasure and raising charity funds. Travel and reading about historical interest. Likes reading, listening to music, singing and cooking.
