Professional profile:
I am a consultant orthopaedic surgeon in a busy district general hospital in the north-west. I started consultant practice in 1994 and did overseas fellowships in Melbourne, Australia and Seattle, USA. My main specialist interest is in surgery of the knee. I perform large numbers of knee replacements both primary and revision, also knee arthroscopy and ligament reconstruction. I also have an interest in musculo-skeletal trauma and the treatment of the metastatic bone disease.
