Virtual consultations:

I was appointed as a consultant urological surgeon at the Wirral University Hospitals NHS Trust in 2008. I practice in all areas of urology and have a special interest in the management of urological cancers. A large part of my practice involves the management of prostate cancer. I am the first to start robotic surgery on the Wirral in the NHS and am one of the few high volume surgeons undertaking laparoscopic and robotic radical prostatectomy in UK.

My broad training includes all aspects of urology including minimally invasive stone surgery, micro-vascular surgery and treatment of lower urinary tract symptoms. I have over 10 years' experience with laparoscopic urology and mentor consultants at other trusts in these procedures.

I qualified in 1993 and have undergone specialist training in the Mersey region. As part of my training I have been to some of the best urological centres in the world including the Cleveland Clinic and the Long Island Jewish Medical Centre.
