Background Information 
Professional profile:

I am one of the first 10 consultants in the UK recognised by the BSGE for the advanced laparoscopic treatment of endometriosis (in 2011 there are still less than 20 in the entire UK, and only 10 centres, as of Jan 2011, I am the only recognised surgeon north of Wolverhampon) Nationally I am one of the few gynaecologists to certified by the RCOG in advanced laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery.

My clinical interests are in the individualised (either medical and/or surgical) management of pelvic pain, endometriosis, adhesions, dysfunctional uterine bleeding, heavy periods, polycystic ovarian syndrome and utero-vaginal prolapse.

I have a keen interest in female well being in the peri-menopause and menopause. I am an accredited colposcopist to investigate and treat abnormal cervical smears (usually in the out patient setting).

Personal profile:

Undoubtedly, my main interest outside medicine is my family - my wife, 3 children and dog!

I thoroughly enjoy scuba diving and am recognised at PADI Rescue Diver Level, and skiing.

Given time I enjoy a game of golf to an average standard - handicap 18 - and am trying to live a little longer by going to the gym and for a swim when I can.
