Background Information 
Professional profile:
I am one of two consultant dermatologists based at Wirral Hospitals NHS Trust. I received training in the professorial units of Newcastle upon Tyne and Glasgow before becoming a consultant in 1990. I trained in all aspects of dermatology, treating skin diseases in patients of all ages. I therefore have experience in the diagnosis and management of the more common skin diseases such as; psoriasis, eczema, dermatitis, acne and all other inflammatory skin diseases.

One particular interest I have is in the management of skin cancer. Many if not most skin cancers will need some form of surgery, but some early cancers can be treated by non-surgical means. I have been trained in the surgical management of skin cancers and certain non-surgical techniques. Otherwise, I liaise closely with radiotherapy/oncologists, plastic surgeons, maxillo-facial surgeons and oculo-plastic surgeons to ensure a satisfactory outcome for the patient.
