Professional profile:

My clinical experience is in general dermatology. My field of interest is in contact dermatitis and occupational-related dermatitis and I run the contact dermatitis service. In addition I do clinics in general and acute dermatology, two fast track skin cancer clinics and minor skin surgery as well as a paediatric clinic. I also look after dermatology in-patients.

I was also a consultant at the University Hospital of North Staffordshire (UHNS) in Stoke-on-Trent (1997 – 2009). I was head of department and lead clinician for skin cancer MDT for 5 years, lastly being appointed the chairman of the Greater Midlands Skin Cancer Network.

I was involved in undergraduate teaching of medical students as well as supervision of dermatology specialist registrars. I worked briefly at the Countess of Chester Hospital.
