    Dr Arun Ghosh is the principal partner and founder of the Private General Practice Service currently being run in Liverpool and the North West. Prior to this service evolving there were no regular private GP family services or private general practitioner services within the Merseyside region.

    Setting up this private medical service has taken Dr Ghosh over 5 years to develop. Dr Arun Ghosh found current pressures on the NHS meant less time and opportunities (were being )given to his patients and he found the private sector offered his patients a way of overcoming this and keeping the relationships which (were) valued by both doctor and patient alike.

    Dr Arun Ghosh was born in Liverpool and educated on the Wirral before commencing his undergraduate medical training at Liverpool University and here he has remained serving the local community he is part of.

    Personal profile:

    Dr Arun Ghosh qualified in 2003 and started his junior doctor years at Arrowe Park Hospital on the Wirral before deciding on a career in General Practice. He then commenced his Vocational Training at Whiston Hospital completing his 3 year rotations of all the required specialities.

    Dr Arun Ghosh finished his GP registrar year in St.Helens. He has since worked in a number of GP practices and services before deciding to start his own private practice in Crosby.

    His main interests currently lie in Sexual Health, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Weight Management and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. Dr Arun Ghosh currently is able to offer a complete range of Family Planning Services for all patients, sexual health screening and total holistic family practice medicine as your regular G.P.

    Outside the job he also works in local media, presenting a weekly radio medical show and appearing on both BBC and ITV as a resident medical expert.
