A wide range of tests are available to detect the presence of cancer in the body. Cancer testing includes diagnostic imaging tests such as mammography for breast cancer, MRI and CT scans, smear tests for cervical cancer and mole mapping or analysis to detect skin cancer.

Common cancer screening tests include PSA and PCA3 testing for prostate cancer, CA125 testing for ovarian cancer and CEA for lung, colon, bowel, testicular and pancreas cancer. Urine analysis can be conducted to detect bladder and kidney cancer. Histological (microscopic) analysis of a biopsy or small tissue sample is also common for the detection of cancer.
These tests are conducted by taking a small sample of blood, urine or tissue for analysis in our laboratories.
