I graduated from Osmania Medical College, Osmania University, Hyderabad, India and undertook my post-graduate training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at a tertiary referral institute in Hyderabad. I have a wide experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology having worked in tertiary referral units in India (Senior Resident at JIMPER - Jawaharlal Institute of Post-graduate Medical Education and Research, Pondicherry: and Assistant Professor at Osmania Medical College) and district General/University Hospitals in the UK (Registrar in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Doncaster Royal Infirmary and Central Sheffield University Teaching Hospitals, Staff-Grade Specialist/Associate Specialist at St Mary's Hospital, London and Senior SpR at University of Leicester NHS Trust)
I was appointed as Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Southend University Hospital in October 2007 and provide a comprehensive obstetric and gynaecological service. I provide specialist care to 'high-risk' pregnant women and women with medical disorders in pregnancy. I am the lead Consultant for Multiple Pregnancy, Maternal-Fetal Medicine and antenatal screening. I have a wide experience in obstetric ultrasound and management of intrauterine fetal growth restriction. I also have BSCCP accreditation and provide both diagnostic and therapeutic colposcopy services.
Private Services
I provide comprehensive general gynaecological services and perform all minor and most of the major gynaecological procedures. In addition to general gynaecology, my special interests include colposcopy (diagnostic and therapeutic), obstetric ultrasound, management of women with recurrent miscarriages and providing 'pre- pregnancy counselling'.
